What a visit looks like

  • What we do

Your therapist checks how your shoulder, neck and upper back move together, then uses hands-on care and graded exercise, and shows you what to do at home.

  • What decides how many visits

What your therapist finds, what you want to do again and how your body responds. Your therapist talks it through with you.

  • Who treats you

A physical therapist, and sometimes a physical therapist assistant under their direction. Your first visit is about an hour.

    Meet the team
  • How it is paid for

With your insurance or by paying yourself. We tell you what to expect before your first visit.

    How fees work
  • Chest pain, trouble breathing, a sudden severe headache or pain, new weakness or numbness, loss of bladder or bowel control, or a fall with a head injury needs emergency care now. Call 911.

Questions about this care

I had shoulder surgery. When do I start?

Your surgeon decides when. Bring their instructions to your first visit, and your therapist follows them.

Do I need an MRI first?

Usually not. If something needs imaging, your therapist tells you and works with your physician.
