What a visit looks like

  • What we do

Your therapist checks your strength, your feet and how you move, and practices steps and turns with you, with a hand nearby. Small group sessions are led by Vivian Blakely.

  • What decides how many visits

What your therapist finds, what you want to do again and how your body responds. Your therapist talks it through with you.

  • Who treats you

A physical therapist, and sometimes a physical therapist assistant under their direction. Your first visit is about an hour.

    Meet the team
  • How it is paid for

With your insurance or by paying yourself. We tell you what to expect before your first visit.

    How fees work
  • Chest pain, trouble breathing, a sudden severe headache or pain, new weakness or numbness, loss of bladder or bowel control, or a fall with a head injury needs emergency care now. Call 911.

Questions about this care

Can a family member come with me?

Yes. Many people bring a family member to their first visit, and your therapist can show them how to help at home.

Is dizziness something you treat?

If you are dizzy, see your physician first. Your therapist works with what they find.
