Questions people ask

If yours is not here, call or send us a message.

Do I need a referral?

In Washington, you can start without a referral. Your plan may still ask for one. Call us with your plan card and we will check before you book.

Does my plan cover this, and do you take Medicare?

We bill many kinds of plans, including most PPO plans, Medicare, Medicaid, workers' compensation and auto injury coverage. Your plan decides what it pays. We check your benefits and call you before your first visit.

What if I pay myself?

We give you a written estimate before your first visit, and you pay for each visit on the day. If your plan may reimburse you, we give you a detailed receipt to send in. Your plan decides whether it pays.

How long is a visit, and who treats me?

Your first visit is about an hour with a physical therapist. Later visits can be shorter. A physical therapist assistant may guide your exercises, under your therapist's direction.

How many visits will I need?

It depends on what your therapist finds, what you want to be able to do again and how your body responds. Your therapist talks it through with you and goes over the plan as you go.

What should I wear and bring?

Wear clothes you can move in and shoes you can walk in. Bring your plan card, a photo ID and any paperwork your doctor gave you.

Will it hurt?

We work within what you can tolerate. Some movements and exercises can be uncomfortable. Tell us, and we change what we are doing.

Do you offer video visits?

Some follow-up visits can be by video, in states where we are licensed. Today that is Washington. Your first visit is in person.

Do you treat work or auto injuries?

Yes. If you were hurt in a crash or at work, get emergency care first. Tell us who your adjuster is. Your state decides who may direct your care. We explain how your bills are handled before you start.

Do you speak Spanish?

Yes. Ofelia Esquivel and Delaney Hodges speak Spanish with patients, and this site and our forms are in Spanish too. Ask for one of them when you call.

Still have a question?
